This time we'll explore the lives of Hugh Mercer and George Weedon, two Revolutionary-era Fredericksburg figures whose stories are far stranger than most history books let on. From colonial medicine and bizarre cures to tavern culture, drinking habits, and the occasional poor life choice, we'll uncover a side of Revolutionary Virginia that was anything but boring. Each story will be paired with a carefully selected wine, and we'll also enjoy cupcakes from Cool Cat Cupcakes paired with one of the evening's stories.
